Nowadays, the graduate employment has become a more and more important problem in our higher education system, whose Influence has beyond their own family, and what's more, related with the development of our higher education syestem, adjustment of industrial structure, and social harmony and stability. Writer has long-term working experience in the univesity and know very well about the problems of the graduate emplyement. The reasons for the problems are quite complicated and related to three parts, government, university and the graduates themselves. But as the policies maker and major executive, the government plays an inevitable and important role in promoting graduate employment.By analyzing the current employment status and universities policies for graduate employment, writer points out many mistakes, which are concerning with three parts, "to broaden graduate employment channels ", "to improve graduates' employability and competitiveness " and "to perfect job market". These mistakes mainly result from the bad execution of government. Different aspects of the main issues highlighted different problems in policies, such as less attraction in policies for guiding graduates employment at grass-roots level, no enough supporting measures; missing career guidance for graduates; not perfect job market, and obstacles to limit the free flow of labor, etc. Drawn from the advanced experience and sucessful polcies of graduate employment from other foriegn governments, in combination with the main problems in graduates employment, the writer tries to put forward some suggestions to government to solve the above proeblems and hope the goevernment can improve government behavior and their job in promoting graduates employment by more efficient and reasonable way.
