Social support is the support and assistance of individuals through social networks,which can effectively relieve stress and maintain a good emotional experience.High level of social support can effectively reduce stress and promote mental health.Teachers’ academic optimism is a combination of three beliefs,the teacher’s sense of effectiveness,the trust of students and parents,and the importance of learning.This is a positive expectation that students can achieve academic success.Teachers’ academic optimism is a positive belief of teachers,which can relieve teachers’ role stress and promote teachers’ own devotion to education and teaching.And excessive role stress can cause individual anxiety and other negative emotions,thus affecting the smooth progress of work.In order to understand the current situation of middle school teachers’ role stress,in this study,middle school teachers as the research object,a questionnaire survey was conducted among 482 teachers in five secondary schools in Hunan Province through the Social Support Rating Scale,the Teacher’s academic Expectation Scale and the Role ambiguity and Role Conflict Scale.This paper studies the level and relationship between the social support,the optimism and the role stress of the secondary school teachers,discusses how to use the teacher’s social support,analyzes the teachers’ academic optimism,discusses the countermeasures and methods to alleviate the teacher’s role stress,and then help teachers in the teaching process to further stimulate the teachers’ positive beliefsThe results are as follows:1.The social support of middle school teachers is at a moderate level,and there are significant differences in different school ages,educational background and school area.2.The academic optimism of secondary school teachers is at a high level and there is no difference in demographic variables.3.The role stress of secondary school teachers is at a general level,and there are significant differences in gender and school areas.4.There is a significant negative correlation between social support and academic optimism,and there is a significant negative correlation between social support and role stress,and there is a significant negative correlation between teacher academic optimism and role stress.5.The academic optimism of secondary school teachers has a complete mediating role between social support and role pressure.
