Research On The Influential Factors And Countermeasures Of Independent Colleges Teaching Staff Construction In Shaanxi Province

It has been about twenty years since independent colleges sprang up at the end of the last century.There were merely eighteen independent colleges when they first appeared,but in 2011 there were 309 independent colleges with 2.67 million students,which accounts for about 20% of the total number of students in Chinese colleges and universities.The leapfrog development of independent colleges is of critical importance in promoting the popularization of higher education in China.And now independent colleges have become an indispensable part in China's higher education.However,in recent years independent colleges are confronted with many problems in sustainable development because of the rapid development of private colleges,the mechanism and system in themselves,the reduction in enrolment and the severe competition among them in recent year.The construction of teaching staff in independent colleges has been listed as the key research topic by many scholars,and it is generally considered to be the bottleneck of the development of independent colleges.Teaching quality determines the quality of talent cultivation,and the quality of talent cultivation depends on the most important direct factor — the construction of teaching staff.A good construction of teaching staff can better promote the quality of teaching and talent cultivation and vice versa.For the construction of teaching staff,our country has put forward specific requirements “National Long-term Education Reform and Development Plan(2010-2020)”.Meanwhile,it also points out that independent colleges are in the developmental transformation period under new situations and need to fulfill the basic index requirements.Independent colleges need to find out the major problem existing in their teaching staff construction,analyze the influential factors and know the causes,which is the effective approach for independent colleges to develop.Based on the research results of other scholars,this paper takes MD College in Shaanxi Province as an example,designing the questionnaire from the existing problems in teaching staff to identify the major factors affecting the construction of teaching staff in independent colleges.By analyzing the causes of the problems and influential factors,the thesis puts forward some suggestions on teaching staff construction so as to provide the senior management and government with some guidance to improve independent college teaching staff construction and talent cultivation quality.It's of some theoretical significance for stable and sustainable development of independent colleges and of some practical meaning for the promotion of the development of higher education.The thesis systematically analyzes the influential factors and countermeasures of the independent college teaching staff construction in Shaanxi Province from seven chapters.The first chapter is introduction.The second chapter is about the definitions of certain concepts related to independent college teaching staff construction in Shaanxi Province and the theoretical basis of the thesis.The third chapter is the present condition and the major problems of the teaching staff construction in MD college.The fourth chapter is about the influential factors model of teaching staff construction in MD college and questionnaire design.The fifth chapter is the analysis of the influential factors of independent college teaching staff construction and factor extraction.And the sixth chapter is about suggestions and countermeasures on strengthening independent college teaching staff construction in Shaanxi Province.The last chapter is the conclusion and outlook.
