The STEM is originated in United States,now it has set off a mass fervor all around the world.Based on the study on the chemistry course of STEM idea,which is integrated the knowledge of science,technology,engineering,mathematics and other disciplines into the chemistry courses.By integrating the STEM idea of chemistry course's learning,we will enhance the students' interests in the chemistry courses even for the science courses,feeling the close link between various disciplines.At the same time,it helps students to learn engineering design and technical means.and cultivates the innovative talents who are engaged in the STEM careers in the 21st century.Firstly,the article puts forward our country's needs for the STEM talents and the necessary of implementing STEM education,then presents the achievements of STEM home and abroad,and the definition of the STEM education and the concepts of STEM literacy using the study of documentary analysis.It also analyses the STEM concepts of the three teaching materials,which is Chemistry 1,2 and Theory of Chemical Reaction.Secondly,so far,we concluded that it is necessary to put the STEM into practice,because of the survey on the fusion of the high school chemistry courses and exams and the STEM concepts.In order that we build a chemistry teaching model with STEM:create a chemical situation?ask a question?explore thesolution?explainthe contextin which chemical knowledge is embedded?reanalyze the solution?exchange evaluation.And integrate the knowledge of these teaching materials into one,we can explore the chemistry teaching design and implementation with STEM.It also brings up the strategies of improving chemistry teaching:change the traditional concept of education,development of school-based courses and materials for STEM,provide extracurricular STEM practice.It provides a reference point of view to improve chemistry education course design which is merged STEM concepts into chemistry course.
