The current language new curriculum standard puts forward clear requirements on respect for cultural diversity,so foreign works reading and teaching become an indispensable part of Chinese teaching.High school language teaching material in the extracts of western literature suggests that the tendency of literature education lies in its unique humanistic spirit,improve the students’ humanities accomplishment,in the language classroom practice teaching,however,not to give enough attention to the foreign works.So this article tries to dig out the foreign literary works contains a unique charm,showing the beauty of foreign literature and culture.Stimulate students’ interest in reading and teachers to explore interest,and in specific text,for example,put forward effective teaching strategy.First part of this article is divided into five parts altogether,puts forward the topic selection,research significance and research ideas and methods.The first chapter expounds the foreign works in Chinese textbooks for high schools are selection and concept,to provide some clues for the teaching on the whole.In this paper,the characteristic and the emphasis is on combines text interpretation and practice of classroom teaching,want to consider the deep going of interpretation and want to consider the practicality and bidirectional nature of class,namely to consider the classroom participation and activity,and to pay attention to the importance of text reading.So the content of the second chapter focuses on the use of curriculum resources,this important grasp of foreign works teaching difficult point.Third chapter content to build in the second chapter,on the basis of selection of some of the key contents,from the works of character image,the intention of the author’s creation,the theme three aspects in-depth interpretation work,more accurately grasp the connotation of work,fully excavate the cultural connotation and universal value.Chapter iv stand in the Angle of the teachers,in view of the specialty of the foreign works on the teaching put forward advice on reading and teaching,to change the present teaching situation,improve the efficiency of Chinese teaching,real play to the language discipline of humanism and put forward some useful reference.
