Migrant children as the product of floating families have a lot of obstacles in their immigration such as policy restrictions,labeling and social integration.When the migrant children face such unfavorable adversity,their may have high or low resiliency.According to the ecological system theory,the family as a migrant child’s micro-system will certainly have an impact on the development of the individual.In the migrant family,parent-child relationship reflects the interaction between parents and children and the interaction between the them.Based on the parent-child relationship of migrant children,this research focused on the impact of parent-child relationship on the resilience.After the secondary analysis of the 499 questionnaires from migrant children and their parents and 257 questionnaires from local children and their parents,and qualitative analysis of the interviews of nine children,the results showed that:1.Migrant children’s parent-child relationship is not as good as local children,the tested difference is significant;family support is medium;understanding and family trust is low;academic and health attention is higher.2.The overall levels of resilience,personal competence,and acceptance of self and life of migrant children are lower than the local children.After test,results showed significant difference.3.The parent-child relationship of the migrant-child’s is signally affected by gender,grade,level of educational background and time in Beijing.There is a significant negative correlation between the age,the academic level,and psychological proximity-seeking,the level of understanding,and the frequency of parents’ study counseling.Time in Beijing is significantly positively correlated with family support,negatively correlated with psychological proximity-seeking and the frequency of parents’ study counseling.4.The levels of resilience of migrant children and personal competence are significantly affected by gender;There is a significant positive correlation between time in Beijing and personal competence,acceptance of self and life.5.Psychological proximity-seeking,emotional quality,and family support are positively correlated with the resilience,personal competence and acceptance of self and life of migrant children.6.Family support,psychological proximity-seeking,and attention of the school performance and healthy predict the level of resilience.
