Migrant children problem has attracted the positive attention of the society from all walks of life from its come into being. Many international and domestic scholars had approached the problem from the perspective of different disciplines. Parent is the first teacher of a child and family is his first school. The relationship between parents and children directly affects children’s study, life and growth, at the same time, the attitude of parents on discipline plays a very important role in children’s grow. Therefore, the parent-child problem of improving the disciplinary attitude of migrant children’s parent cannot be ignored. From the perspective of the social work, this thesis is to analyze whether it has a positive impact to the over protection of parents’ disciplinary attitude that group is used in improving the parent-child relationship with the experiment.Because it is an important turning point and a transitory stage with dramatic psychological changes for the children that who enter junior middle school from primary school, the children’s parent-child relationship is relatively weak at this time. J school has 1 to 6 grades, and each grade has 2 classes with a total of 510 students. Because it has 486 migrant children which accounts for over 90% of all, J school is a real school of migrant children. So, the author randomly extracts the students of four classes in grade 5 and 6 from J school in Lanzhou province and gives them tests using the first part of "parent-child relationship test" (PCRT) revised firstly by Professor Zhou Bucheng and his research group. Those tests are used for assessing parents’ disciplinary attitude according to children’evaluation rather than parents’. There were 14 migrant children whose interference and uneasy score were lower (12 children’s interference and uneasy score were 2 and under,2 children’s interference score were 2 and under and the uneasy score were 2 to 4) as the objects of study. Firstly, according to experimental research method,14 migrant children were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group and control group. Secondly, the 7 migrant children were randomly extracted with their parents constituting a "happy family" group as the experimental group, and they would participate in 6 times group activities during one and a half months, under the intervention. Meanwhile, there would be no intervention on the control group. Thirdly, after 6 group activities, the migrant children in the experimental group and control group would be tested with the’parent-child relationship test’(PCRT). Finally, the comparison would be carried out between the before and after measurement on the experimental group and on the control group, the after measurement of the experimental group and the control group. At the same time, the author put the interview assessment in the whole of process:At the early stage, their parents and teachers of migrant children were interviewed to know about the service objects and their family and school. In the process of group activities, understand participants feelings about group activities and other needs, then adjust the group activities timely in the interview. Pay a return visit to understand the effect of group activities and its influence on the later life when the activity is over. In this paper, author finds that group is improvement to the parents’ disciplinary attitude and parent-child relations from the angle of the service object by a semi-structured interviews. At last, the author combined the scale evaluation with interview assessment, the following conclusions were made:1. Social group work has an obviously effect on dealing with the parents’disciplinary attitude of migrant children, especially the protection type. The comparison between the before and after measurement indicates that the group has a positive impact on the improvement of the interference and disturbance of the parents’disciplinary attitude.2. Each member actively participates in group activities in the processes to make members express themselves proactively, stimulate the potential of team members and improve the team’s cohesion, then as a result, make the team members better during group activities and improve the relations of parent-child significantly.3. To a certain extent, social group work was conducive to improve the parent-child relationship of migrant children.
