"Not in the series" teachers as a powerful complement of public kindergarten teachers has made a significant contribution to the development of preschool education.However,their identities blur,underpaid and with a poor living condition.This kind of situation hasn’t attracted the attention of the related government departments as well as the concern of scholars,so far,the relevant research is quite wanting.The study,by using the questionnaire and interview outline as the research tools,has made a "not in the series" teachers investigation of 14 public kindergartens in Tangshan City.The research,from the six aspects of the economic benefits,work environment,workload,career recognition,development prospects,and leisure life,has strived to present a comprehensive "not in the series" teachers living condition of the public kindergartens in Tangshan City.The results show that the living conditions of "not in the series" teachers of the public kindergarten in Tangshan City have the following features: 1.They have a lower income and a serious lack of social security;2.They have a better work hardware environment,but a subtle interpersonal relationship and a weak sense of participation in nursery management;3.They have a heavy workload,a much higher work pressure,and the prevalence of negative emotions;4.They have a strong vocational emotion and a good sense of accomplishment,but a poor career firmness;5.They have a very strong professional development desire,but the lack of development opportunities and the uncertain development prospects;6.They have the lack of leisure time,and their life is monotonous.There is a big gap between leisure life desire and reality.Overall,the living condition of "not in the series" teachers,from the public kindergartens in Tangshan City,is not optimistic,and be in urgent need of improvement.The study,through analyzing the influencing factors on the living condition of "not in the series" teachers of public kindergarten in Tangshan City,has found some factors from the community and the departments in charge.they are: the scarcity of authorized strength and rigid administration,the inadequate policy support,the lack of the financial support and the prevalent social prejudices;the factors which come from the nursery managers are: the neglect of the state regulations,the irrational salary structure,the unfair teachers training and the inadequate humanization management;the personal factors which come from the "not in the series" teachers are: the limiting personality traits,the inadequate action of professional learning and the negative state of mind succumbed to the reality.Finally,the study puts forward the specific proposals,from the three aspects of the social and department in charge,administrators in kindergarten and "not in the series" teachers,to improve the living condition of "not in the series" teachers of public kindergarten in Tangshan City. |
