A Study On Mental Health And Social Support Of Urban Migrant Workers

Objective: To analyze the relationship between mental health status,social support situation and mental health and social support of urban migrant workers by analyzing the mental health status and social support of urban migrant workers in Shijiazhuang City,and provide the basis for the government to implement the corresponding policies.Methods: A total of 380 migrant workers in Shijiazhuang were investigated by using the Basic Information Questionnaire of Urban Migrant Workers,Social Support Rating Scale and SCL-90 as a research tool.The mental health status of the urban migrant workers,the level of social support and the main influencing factors,and put forward the countermeasures to solve them according to the problems.Results: 1,Mental health: The score of urban migrant workers in Shijiazhuang City was significantly higher than that of the national norm.Women in the symptom self-rating scale were higher than men;unmarried urban migrant workers in the symptom self-rating scale scores were higher than married urban migrant workers;different wage levels of urban migrant workers in the somatization factor(F = 3.04,P <0.05),but there was no significant difference between the other factors and the total score.The level of education was not significant for the urban migrant workers(the overall level of mental health)F = 0.30,P> 0.05).There were significant differences in the overall mental health of urban migrant workers at different ages.2,Social support: Shijiazhuang city migrant workers social support overall level was significantly lower than the national norm level,of which Shijiazhuang City urban migrant workers subjective social support score lower than the national norm level,Shijiazhuang City urban migrant workers subjective society The support score is 20.69 ± 4.87,the subjective support of the norm is 20.98 ± 4.42,t =-4.11,P <0.001.3,Mental health and social support related: the whole,Shijiazhuang City,urban migrant workers social support level and mental health level has a positive correlation;which comes from husband and wife support,living conditions,emergency situations,comfort and care There was a negative correlation between the source support and the support from the neighbors and the total score of the symptom self-rating scale.The urban migrant workers had no significant correlation with the symptom self-rating scale in the social support utilization index.Conclusion: 1,The overall level of urban migrant workers in Shijiazhuang City,the level of mental health was significantly lower than the national norm level,showing the city of Shijiazhuang City migrant workers to adapt to the situation is not ideal,and the individual level is manifested by loneliness and frustration Feeling and other bad psychology.2,Compared with the national average level,the three dimensions of social support and social support in Shijiazhuang City are significantly lower than those in the norm,which indicates that the level of social support needs to be improved.3,The mental health status of urban migrant workers is positively correlated with the level of social support,that is,the higher the social support of urban migrant workers,the better the mental health level.Urban migrant workers lack the corresponding social support for the group’s mental health situation also buried a hidden danger.
