Accompanied by the continuous development of tennis,tennis techniques have been improved comprehensively.The move footwork as the basic skill is the important premise of mastering other techniques,which requires athletes to lay a solid foundation of move footwork because it is the assurance to strokes of tennis.As the well-known remark goes in tennis field,“technique is the foundation,but footwork is the soul of tennis”,“playing tennis well relies on feet”,which can reflect that move footwork is a critical aspect to master tennis techniques and improve better quality shot.Agility,velocity and force are the main physical qualities that move footwork counts on.Studies demonstrate that agility is most closely associated with footwork,so training on agile ability must be strengthened as an effort to improve move footwork.Especially in the enlightenment stage of tennis teaching for adolescent,the mastering of move footwork has a direct and decisive impact on acquiring technical movement,proven by the effect that moving around at baseline,fast and accurate movement during moving forward in the court can contribute to high quality of shot.This paper has adopted various research methods such as The Literature Material Law,Expert Interview Method,Teaching Experimentation and Mathematical Statistics.20 young male tennis athletes have been selected in Qinhuangdao city as the teaching experimentation object,who are divided into two groups.Experimentation group takes agility quality practice(such as rope ladder training);comparison group takes regular training of move footwork.The two groups have been taught with same teaching progress and teaching methods,as well as same teacher,namely me,so as to ensure there is no huge difference for the two groups.The experiment has employed combined assessment methods: common move footwork evaluation of in situ shot,2-meters high shot,4-meters high shot and depth and precision testing of ITN shot to conduct specific experimental comparison test.Through the comparison of data before and after experiments,it shows that agility quality training(such as rope ladder training)can exert a positive influence ongrasping and applying move footwork in playing tennis.Based on the collection and analysis of experimental data,the following conclusions have been made:1.Agility training is obviously beneficial to moving velocity but doesn't work for improvement of other physical qualities;2.Agility training exerts great influence on move footwork of 2-meters and4-meters high shot,but basically no influence on that of in situ shot;3.Agility training has not only enhanced move footwork of 2-meters and4-meters high shot,but also intensified the strength and accuracy of shot;4.Through experiment of practice,adding agility training during practicing move footwork can help young tennis athletes master and apply move footwork more effectively and quickly,and at the same time improve their competitive skills.
