Well-known American academics and tennis coach Nick'Bollettieri and his team raised the world's best tennis players of the ten most commonly used step, at home and abroad have been a number of tennis coaches and scholars agree that this is also a tennis-step Study of the latest achievements. In this paper, literature, expert interviews, video statistical method, mathematical statistics and logical analysis and other methods based on this 10 kinds of step are used as the main research contents to the 2008 WTA year-end total of nine of the top female tennis player to study the object, select the mutual competition between them a total of 21 screenings for women in the hard competition in a comprehensive analysis of gait characteristics。The results show that:1.10 kinds of step used in the competition accounts for the percentage of the number of ball shot (except serve) approximately 80.8%, other 19.2% only。10 kinds of step in the return of serve using the ratio (79.1%) is slightly lower than that used in the non-return of serve percentage (81.3%), a difference of about 2%。Each step in the athlete's return of serve technical and non-return of serve in the use of technology, the frequency varies considerably.2. Ten-step in use with the return of serve and non-return of serve has a relatively concentrated regional distribution, but not the same regional distribution.10 kinds of step in the return of serve is the most concentrated region, basically all around athlete stations within about 3 meters; when in non-return of serve, defensive footwork on both sides of the regional distribution is mainly in the vicinity of a single doubles sideline and a deep position behind the bottom line, the regional distribution of stalemate step is mainly near the vicinity of the bottom line, the regional distribution of offensive footwork is mainly in the area between the service line and the bottom line。3. Different athletes in the use of 10 kinds of footwork have obvious common characteristics:the frequency of 10 kinds of footwork to be used accounted for the team to beat the total number of batting about 80%; the team to have a higher frequency of use is probably about five kinds of gait, accounting for their overall batting shoot 60-70% of the number; the proportion of the Reverse Spin Step and the Hop Step used in the game by all the research object is very small, not exceed 4.1%.4. The different athletes in the use of 10 kinds of footwork have an obvious personality traits, mainly reflected in the different athletes in the use of a step when the frequency is of a difference. This may be related to athlete's physique, batting habits, early training, the type of play and other factors. For example, different from other players, Jankovic rarely used Power Move vigorously moving steps, only the total number of ball shot 5%. Although there are differences in the Step applications, but different athletes in the use of a particular step Law can play a character of their respective offensive and defensive.5. The specific situation of 10 kinds of step in an athlete's use of hard competition is different. In contrast, defensive footwork when using requires the player moving a large distance or range, locked in a stalemate when the running of footwork to use a smaller range, while the offensive footwork has relatively ample time to prepare. In general, a step is used to hit the ball with certain common characteristics.
