"Compulsory Education Mathematics Curriculum Standard"(2011,hereinafter referred to as the "course standard")puts forward that students need to be able to "think in mathematical way, enhance their ability to find and raise questions, the ability to analyze and solve problems" in the overall goal. While thinking is mainly embodied in the process of problem solving, problem solving is the universal form of thinking activity. It is a process of finding problems, analyzing problems, and finally guiding problems' goals and results. The results show that students' geometric thinking level is positively related to students' mathematics achievement, while math achievement is positively related to problem solving ability, and the higher the level of geometric thinking is,the stronger the problem solving ability is.First of all,the study defines origami activity and geometrical thinking level on the basis of origami geometry and Van Hiele theory.Origami activity patterns and lesson plans are designed for students in grade seven. Then experts choose a class from a junior high school in Chongqing to carry out the origami activities.Through classroom observation, video analysis and thinking aloud to collect, record, collate and analyze the students' behavior in origami activity, combining it with the division of Van Hiele geometry thinking level, the study constructs the standard of conduct to judge students' geometry thinking level in origami activities. On this basis, three students are selected in the view of the math scores as the case and the research carries out a series of origamiactivities.By observing, thinking aloud and video analyzing, the study records the change of students' behavior in origami activities and analyses of the change of students' geometry thinking level with the standard of behavior. Conclusions are as following:(1)After a series of origami activity, the geometry thinking level of underachievers is raised from 0 to 1 level, the lower level of the level of 2;the geometric thinking level of medium students is improved from 1 to 2;top students' geometric thinking level is increased from 1 level to level 2 to level 2;(2)Origami activities as well as the guidance of teachers in the activities have the greatest influence on the geometry thinking level of the underachievers. They have the least influence on the geometry thinking level of top students;(3)The choice of the content of the paper folding and the way of teacher's guidance will affect the students' geometry thinking level.
