The Importance And Strategies Of High School Career Development Education With Reformed NCEE

Reform of the Entrance Examination to University constitutes a pragmatic backdrop of high school career development education.In August 2014,meeting of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party approved “Implementation Guideline on Deepening the Reform on the Admission System “,establishing the guideline and principle of adopting the admission mode of classified examination,comprehensive evaluation and admission via multiple standards.Till the end of April,2016,19 provinces around the country stipulated corresponding reform plan on Gaokao and numerous educators are devoted to the practice of career development education.Based on the educational practice of career development education in Chongqing Nankai Secondary School,this research adopted the method of control experiment,with a class of career development education in Grade 2018 being experimental group,and Class 4 Grade 2018 the control group,discussing the significance and emphasis of high school career development education.The experiment on two groups was conducted according to Hollander China Vocational Interest Scale,with 36 effective test results from experimental group and 39 from the control group.The result indicates:(1)There has been a marked difference between the two groups,with the experiment group demonstrating a higher interest than the control group in each types of interest.There has been no indicator of gender difference,showing little connection between gender and groups.(2)There has been a prominent difference between the two groups on career-interest consistency,with the experimental group demonstrating a higher consistency.(3)The two groups also demonstrated great diversity.Compared with control group,the experiment group showed a more diverse interest and better understanding of personal interest.The statistics proves career development education plays a significant role in helping the students discovering their interest and advancing career development.In order to further discuss the work contents and characteristics of high school career development education,I also conducted research on the emphasis of high school career development education,believing it should border on the combination with Gaokao;it should place emphasis on tasks of high school career development— self-realization in Grade 10,awareness of university majors and career field in Grade 11 and pressure management and filling in the application for Gaokao in Grade 12;it should place value on evoking the awareness of career development and cultivating the capabilities of thinking,decision making and adapting to changes.
