Socio-scientific issue,referred to as SSI,is that namely science and technology in the development process bring us some controversial social problems.The purpose of this study is to explore the application of high school biology teachers and learning effect of students to the education of social science issues at present.In view of the current research on SSI education in China is not extensive and in-depth,and the teachers' awareness of SSI education is not strong,this paper adopts the methods of literature review,questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics,launches the following works:1.To access to information and understand the current "SSI teaching" research.2.To determine the target samples,entering some certain schools to carry out a questionnaire survey of students and randomly interviewing teachers to understand the status of SSI teaching.3.According to the actual situation of questionnaire and investigation,the data were analyzed by using Microsoft Excel 2010 and SPSS Statistics 17.0 software,draw conclusions.4.On the basis of the conclusion of the analysis,some suggestions are put forward.In this study,through the investigation of teachers' implementation of SSI education and students' learning situation on SSI education,from two different perspectives of teachers and students to analyze the present situation of SSI education,as follows:1.The application situation of teachers in SSI Teaching: most of the teachers have SSI education consciousness and also has used SSI education,but time and resources are limited,the extent is not too deep,and the organization of such activities is relatively simple.2.The students' learning situation of SSI Teaching: most of the students want to carry out SSI education.To a certain extent,it is believed that after the SSI education,they have their own knowledge,viewpoints and attitudes towards knowledge.The overall learning level remains to be improved.To Analysis the above situation and concluding the following aspects:1.The reasons for the status of teachers: Teachers' understanding,the views and the media resources of SSI education can help teachers to implement SSI education.2.The reasons for the status of students: The students' acceptance,the understanding,the familiar degree of SSI as well as the environment will affect the students' study of the SSI education.Through this study,the author puts forward the following suggestions:To strengthen teacher training,to improve the allocation of resources,to urge students to self-study,and we should teach students in accordance with their aptitude,according to local conditions.It is hoped that the analysis and some suggestions can be used for reference by the front-line teachers and the SSI education can be implemented more efficiently and effectively in the future teaching process.
