Research On Zhou Xuexi's Vocational Education Thought

Vocational education began in the late of Westernization Movement in the late Qing Dynasty and continued in the period of the Republic of China.Zhou Xuexi was a famous educator in the Qing Dynasty,he has made a significant contribution in vocational education.The vocational education thought of Zhou Xuexi was extremely rich and distinctive.They are important contents in our China's vocational education thought.Zhou Xuexi was the pioneer of vocational education.In accordance with the principle of “developing working and studying simultaneously”,he has founded a lot of vocational education sites of different levels and different types.He made great contributions to the rising of modern Chinese national industries and the development of education.His idea of “combine teaching,learning with doing” not only had surpassed other educators at the same time,but also had a profound influence upon his successors as well.The vocational education of Zhou Xuexi was evolved and developed when the Chinese nation was invaded by imperialist powers and was precarious.Zhou Xuexi's idea of vocational education was revealed the urgent demand of China's national capitalism and the social times.They are still instructive for the contemporary vocational education,it is an important part of China's vocational education theory.Because of these reasons,studying Zhou Xuexi's idea of vocational education is historically and realistically significant.The thesis contains four chapters,the carding and analysis of ideological formation and development takes Zhou Xuexi's vocational education thought as the master lines.The whole thesis is thus arranged: The first chapter discusses the significance of the paper,literature review,core concept definition,study of theoretical and practical significance,and research design;chapter two first gives a brief account of Zhou Xuexi's life and then analyzed the origin of Zhou Xuexi's vocational education thought;chapter three elaborates on Zhou Xuexi's theory of vocational education from development,goals,three factors,women's vocational education,and the relationship between the Zhou Xuexi's vocational education and modernization of China'svocational education;chapter four evaluation and analysis of Zhou Xuexi'a vocational education thought,in order to make objective evaluation on Zhou Xuexi.
