Zhou Gucheng (1898 a 1996) is a famous s Chinese contemporary historian and educator. He engaged in education work more than 70 years, not only writing, formed the unique opinion, and committed to the practice, for our country’s historical research and historical education made great contributions.Zhou Gucheng, as a famous historian and educator, long engaged in historical research and teaching work, have a good insight of history education problems. But so far, little attention on its history education thought. Therefore, to strengthen the study of Zhou Gucheng history education thought has important academic significance and practical significance.In the context of the status quo of the present study, the arguer mostly Zhou Gucheng historiographical or one aspect of the historiography thought research, and holistic research less, especially the study of the history education thought and the lack of system. Therefore this study consider study from two aspects:one is the vertical aspect, to Zhou Gucheng history education thought and the main point of the evolution and education practice of holistic grasp; 2 it is horizontal aspect, to promote or factors that affect Zhou Gucheng history education thought and contemporary enlightenment to conduct a comprehensive inspection.According to the characteristics of the Zhou Gucheng historiography thoughts involves field widely, this paper applies the method of literature research, empirical study, interdisciplinary and comprehensive research the method of comparative study. To be specific, the use is given priority to with historical research method, reference to related subjects such as philosophy of education, humanities and social science research methods, combining the macroscopic research and microscopic research, comprehensive research and studies, the combination of marxist theory as the instruction, on the basis of abundant literature, on the basis of mastering abundant historical materials of Zhou Gucheng history education thought the basic content of a realistic analysis and explanation, to facilitate summarizing and inheriting the predecessors historian left by the spiritual wealth, but also provide reference to the research of Chinese modern and contemporary intellectual history and support.In this paper, the main content of the composition is as follows:First, the summary of the main Zhou Gucheng personal education practice, further clarify Zhou Gucheng forming clue of history education thought, thus tracing its history education thought formed in the theory and practice. Guided by the marxism, which is based on historical gestalt theory, combined with the formation of the education background and practical experience.Second, Zhou Gucheng based on the situation of large education from the macroscopic Angle, the dialectical point of view the relationship between education and the situation of, and reveals the essence of education, finally it is concluded that reform the education plan and clear the mission of education.Third, Zhou Gucheng history teaching and its history, history teaching task analysis, etc.Fourth, Zhou Gucheng history textbooks and education content analysis.Fifth, Zhou Gucheng education other ideas in this paperSixth, Zhou Gucheng thoughts evaluation.
