With the development of information technology,learners change the way of learning constantly,and teachers also explore the new teaching methods.Since micro-lecture was applied in teaching abroad in 2008,the new teaching means has become a major concern of many scholars and teachers.A number of studies have revealed that the use of micro-lecture can promote learning efficiency.However,researches concerning applying micro-lecture to English grammar teaching are relatively scarce.Therefore,further study is worth conducting.Based on the theories of constructivism,and elaboration theory,this study endeavors to explore the application effects of micro-lecture in junior high school English grammar teaching.The research utilizes interview,questionnaire and tests as instruments.The subjects are selected from Yong Le Junior High School,and the total is 91.Class 1 is the controlled class which is taught grammar in the traditional method while class 2 is the experimental class which is taught grammar via micro-lecture.At the beginning of the experiment,pre-test is given to the two classes,and then the collected data are analyzed by spss19.0.It is revealed that there is no remarkable difference in the level of English grammar between the two classes,and then the experiment is started.After the experiment,the two classes are given out the questionnaire which aims to investigate their attitudes towards learning grammar.In order to get a further understanding of the experimental class’ learning attitudes,the author interviews the students who are in the different levels of grammar learning.Meanwhile,the post-test is given to the two classes after the experiment to check whether micro-lecture is effective in junior high schoolgrammar teaching.The results of empirical research show that by teaching English grammar in junior high school based on micro-lecture,most students’ attitudes have changed,and the students’ grammar grades in experimental class have increased more largely than before.Therefore,this new teaching means in junior high school English grammar teaching is very effective.Some suggestions are put forward based on this study.Teachers should design more micro-lectures to attract students’ interest in grammar teaching.There is a lack of universality in the research results due to time constraints,so it still needs further exploration.Application of micro-lecture in grammar teaching has great advantages and values for English learners,which needs further exploration in order to apply the micro-lecture in English teaching. |
