The novel teaching is of great significance in the senior high school Chinese teaching, but there are many problems of novel teaching at present. Chinese teachers only teach the content of novel, so that there is no difference between the novel teaching and others. In addition to the three elements of novel, teachers cannot explain other stylistic features of novel, neglect or even ignore the literary concept, mechanically rigid teaching mode, which results in the novel teaching stalled.The novel teaching should be interpreted under the guidance of the style consciousness. However, owing to the concept of "dilution style", the literary style consciousness has not been valued in the Chinese teaching. It is not only the students’awareness of style, but also for the performance of teachers’ teaching style. The author has combed the history of the style teaching in the past thirty years, and studied the present situation and problems of the literary style teaching through the teaching practice and theoretical research.The main part of the thesis is divided into four chapters: the first part explains the concept of literary style, the differences of novel style and other stylistics, novels in Chinese literature history status, briefly discusses the status of research on the effect of the readers. The second part talks about the situation of high school novel teaching,pointing out the biased distribution of teaching materials, the problem of high school novel teaching mode, and analyzes the reasons. The third part is the focus of this thesis,which explores the different styles of novel teaching through the practice, allowing students understand the textbook multi-dimension, improving students’ ability of aesthetic appreciation. Chinese teachers should practice and innovate according to the guiding ideology of literary style teaching, develop and deepen the novel teaching.
