In the part of the basic idea of the curriculum in Chinese Curriculum Criterion of Full-time Education, there is such a description as follow, " Chinese is a much practical curriculum. When teaching Chinese, we should pay a great emphasis on cultivating the practical abilities of the students. The main way to do it is practicing rather than persuit the systematicness and the intergrity of the language,"Different understanding about this may have some negative effects on Chinese teaching nowadays. It weakens the teaching of the knowledge of the language and teachers will pay more attention to experiencing and feeling of it. To some extent, it eliminates the scientificalness of Chinese teaching and Chinese curriculum. Such phenomenon has been reflected in the designing of new textbooks. This essay is meant to discuss how to determine the materials of the language to be selected and the designing methods of teaching Chinese knowledge by means of a series of researches.The trial edition of Senior Chinese in Shanghai has been designed in the framework of the new curriculum. After the use of the experimental edition and the revision of the framework system, it has formed a mature concept. This essay is to probe teaching models of the designing of literary reading and the teaching of literary works through comparation between the trial edition in Shanghai and some other textbooks at the same period.The literary style unit of Shanghai senior high school Chinese textbooks in experiment includes a series of knowledgeable articals with literary theories about reading appreciation od literary works to lead students to reading literary works,which represents the idea of comprimise of humanistic and instrumentality as well as emphasizes the unique value of the teaching if Chinese knowledge. This unit also provides us with a effective model of teaching and learning literary works,which combines literary theories learning and reading practise so as to elevating the effect of reading practise.The knowledgeable articals with literary theories in textbook need to be further selected to develop a proper education system to be taught and learnt,which can instruct students'practise of literary reading appreciation directly and effectively.Students'Chinese ability and quality can be advanced by the taeching of Chinese knowledge.The article is made up of three sections,the first section puts emphasis on the analysis of the structures of the literary style unit of Shanghai senior high school chinese textbooks in experiment as well as the discussion of the target of teaching knowledgeable articals with literary theories used in textbooks thoroughly.The second section uses some researching results of the teaching of Chinese knowledge which have already been known to develop the education system of knowledgeable articals with literary theories in the textbooks totally.The third section is the disugned discussion related to the knowledgeable articals with literary theories of Shanghai senior high school Chinese textbooks in experiment.
