Internet, intelligent mobile terminals and its application programs even get into the campus, while the new curriculum reform and education information also continue to strengthen the requirements,to promote a new trend of geography teaching research -- development of the teaching resources on modern information technology used in geography teaching. The Research new trend leads to upsurge,but the new area inevitably emerges questions. Then we need systematic scientific theory and practice research to achieve healthy development in order to effectively promote the cultivation of students and teachers professional development.Based on the above background and practical significance, this paper innovatively selects a specific application as the research object - the MeteoEarth.This paper selects the targeted research methods including the main method of application analysis and comparative analysis, supplemented by literature,case analysis,questionnaire and so on. This paper firstly analyzes and summarizes the current situation of APP applied in the field of education, especially geography teaching, and then explores the representative MeteoEarth by downloading and applicating, and then puts forward its development strategy , designs many case and makes a comparative analysis of practical application to verify Its effectiveness and superiority. This study can be divided into the following sections.The first part is introduction and the related concepts and theoretical basis of APP,geography teaching resources. Firstly introducing the current situation of the development and application of geography teaching resources at home and abroad and the current situation of APP applied in teaching, especially geography teaching by literature to ensure the purpose, content and method of research. Secondly defining the concept of APP and geography teaching resources, and then expounds the theoretical basis of the application of APP on geography teaching.The second part is the MeteoEarth geography teaching resources characteristics and its development strategy elaboration. Firstly clearing this APP positioning,function and characteristics of its geography teaching resources by downloading the MeteoEarth. Secondly the thesis puts forward the basic principles, basic methods and general process of the development of MeteoEarth, which is based on the application of analytical methods and literature.The third part is teaching case designs on the development of MeteoEarth and comparative investigation and analysis of practical teaching application. Firstly combining the application analysis method and the case analysis method, and develops the case designs of the geography teaching resources in MeteoEarth in combination with the concrete teaching contents, especially the compulsory module.Then it is the empirical analysis of the superiority of geo-teaching resources in the development and application of MeteoEarth. It mainly adopts the comparative analysis method and the questionnaire survey method,and compares the traditional geography teaching resources with the teaching resources in MeteoEarth on the basis of the same teaching content design, classroom practice teaching application. Finally the questionnaire to further verifies the application of the two effects, confirmed the development and application of MeteoEarth in geography teaching superiority.The fourth part is the research conclusion and the innovation, the insufficiency and the prospect. This paper chooses more popular APPs, especially the strongly geometrical MeteoEarth as the research object, and adopts the new research method combining the application analysis method and the comparative analysis method. It clearly illuminates the unique and significant advantages of intelligent terminals application development and their applications such as MeteoEarth over the traditional teaching resources on enhancing high school students' the interest in geography and achievement degree of three-dimensional teaching objectives and other aspects. In addition, it proposed what the MeteoEarth as teaching resources to be improved and high school geography teachers' notes about development and application of the MeteoEarth. Finally More APP and other modern information technology is going to be applied to geography teaching, to better achieve the geographic education information.
