Mostly adopted in the teaching of college and high school English and partly in middle school English teaching,autonomous&cooperative teaching mode has become the focus of teaching reform against the background of the current curriculum reform.However this mode is seldom adopted in the teaching and research of primary school English,not to mention certain operating procedures in detail for reference.Based on the study of autonomous and cooperative learning theories,combined with the characters of pupils and the subject of English,the writer carries out the applied research of autonomous&cooperative teaching mode in the class teaching of intermediate grades of primary school.By the studying of documentary,the using of questionnaires and interviews,the thesis tries to research the application of autonomous&cooperative teaching mode in the teaching of primary school English.The theory of autonomous&cooperative teaching mode is summed up and analyzed by the studying of documentary.The current application of autonomous&cooperative teaching mode in the teaching of primary school English is learned and analyzed by the using of questionnaires and interviews.On the basis of theory analyzing,the understanding of and the practice of autonomous&cooperative class of primary school English,effective strategies of autonomous&cooperative teaching mode are explored:pay attention to the situation,build a study group,guide timely,proper evaluation,and so on.The writer’s practice shows that autonomous&cooperative teaching mode in the teaching of primary school English focuses more on the establishing process of students knowledge structure than on the excellence of teachers’ performing.Operating procedures of autonomous&cooperative teaching mode in some teaching cases are provided as constructive strategies for primary English teachers to deepen teaching reform.
