The English New Curriculum aims to stimulate and cultivate students’ interest,build their confidence and form good learning habits and effective learning strategies,which are useful to the development of autonomous learning ability and the cooperativespirit. We know the initiative of the students is not equal to aloneness while subjectivityis not equal to individuality. Autonomous learning and cooperative learning is notcontradictory, instead, autonomous learning can better promote the development of thesubject during the cooperation. During the cooperative learning, bringing theirautonomy into full play can make students complete learning task effectively andefficiently. Students in the cooperative learning can freely choose their own partners. Inorder to completely liberate students, teachers can break the traditional form of theclassroom organization,enable the students to freely group in class discussing andsolving problems together. This can create a free opportunity for students to carrying ontheir study. Students can choose classmates as reading partners, and the teacher as well.So, free and harmonious classroom atmosphere awakens the students’ autonomousconsciousness, enables every student to be active in the writing practice. Students incooperation can independently exchange their problems and feelings while writing.This paper, from the perspective of the construction theory, multiple intelligencetheory, interactive theory, and related metacognitive theory, interprets, inquires andconcludes a new learning mode: the relationship of autonomous learning andcooperative learning—a symbiotic relationship. The so-called symbiosis, its essence isharmony, is an inseparable relationship that you are among us and we are among you,expressing a cozy relationship among people, objects and things, people and things, man and nature, man and the society, and especially among different objectsascension.these work together to promote each other and create an inner harmony andmoderate relationship. Learning the symbiosis of subject and object, in essence, is tolearn a kind of moral practice activities of a harmonious coexistence with theever-expanding nature, the communtity, others and individuals, and is the extension andinnovation of four education pillar of learning to cognize, to survive, to study, to coexist.This is an important education proposition of the multi-cultural society.This research is based on action research, which refers to teachers’ reflectionabout their teaching idea, teaching method during the process of teaching, the teachingeffects caused by the reflection, their reviewing of teaching concept, discussing,researching and improving teaching methods, and finally to improve the teaching effect.This research is expected through the symbiotic study mode of autonomous learningand cooperative learning which have been experimented during this internship, to makethe author get the improvement and development in the teaching of English writing.And there is the hope that it can provide some help for the teacher to improve thesituation of the traditional teaching mode. It has been proved that the symbiotic studymode synthesized with autonomous learning and cooperative learning to form asymbiosis theory has greatly improved students’ grades after a term in the field ofEnglish writing for senior high school students. Therefore, it can be said that thesymbiotic study mode of autonomous learning and cooperative learning can moreeffectively promote the students’ learning development. Writing is the students’individual behavior and the reflection to writing is often various.
