Nowadays,the teaching of Biology in high school is mostly the traditional teaching model-lecturing,which restricts the ability of autonomous learning as well as innovation from students.Under the reform of new curriculum,efficient class has been put forward in China.To achieve this goal,changing the existing model of teaching is the need of the Age.With the current network and the popularity of smart phones,here comes a new teaching model-Micro Teaching.Micro Teaching is a technical method implemented as an important part of flipped classroom,in which teacher present the key points in a short video as the resource for students to prepare for class or review after school.While in class,teachers organize students to work in groups to discuss their own doubts after learning the video and then complete the designed activities.The micro courses not only train students to learn by themselves,but also bring about changes in the teaching model.Students learn before class,accumulating doubt,and cooperate in group to explore in class,with the spirit of teamwork.The author of the thesis,mainly through questionnaires and case analysis,finds that students do not know how to organize fragmented time,but learn as teachers have told them.Most students may know about Micro Teaching,but rarely have the chance to put it into practice.So the author take one lesson for example-"Cells,Energy Supply and Use" in Chapter V,Book 1.The teacher has designed and taught the lesson to compare the experimental and controlled group to test the teaching effectiveness.At last,the students are investigated about their understanding of the micro-learning courses.By analyzing the data it can be found that micro teaching improves students’ interest in learning as well as students’ achievement.Meanwhile,the design can be a good example for students to improve the spirit of teamwork and innovation.After the course,surveys and interviews conducted show the overall implementation of Micro Teaching is relatively useful,and the approach to learning is quite appreciated by the students.Most students declare it will help them to master the lesson.In conclusion,the comprehensive analysis of the study proves that micro courses are of significance for Biology teaching in high school. |
