The Social Casework Intervention Orphan Interpersonal Problems Study

Orphans are a group which needs our special attention.Although they have basic safeguard support from government policy,it is difficult to guarantee the government's attention in orphans' psychological and interpersonal aspects.Orphans in rural areas are not dependent on their relatives to support orphans.Some orphans in rural areas who are foster by their kinsfolks are different from centralized support.Thus,parts of them have quite a few problems in interpersonal aspects because their self-defect and lack of support from external environment which have deep influences in their need to communicate with others to get satisfaction.Author has found an orphan who has an interpersonal problem through survey in house and decided it as his object of study.After further observation and interview,the author gradually sorts out the specific problems of orphan's interpersonal communication.Which is mainly express in their interpersonal communication is not high,interpersonal emotional control is low and interpersonal communication form is single.In this paper,author used the viewpoint of Social Ecosystem Theory to observed and interviewed the problems come into being in orphan.After analyzing the collected information,the author found that there are multiple influencing factors.For example,the orphan is introverted and withdrawn and lacks interpersonal skills and family integrity,family members' parenting style is strict,and educator and students' evaluation of him is low,rural community committee has functional defects,rural community residents are busy themselves at making a living,the communicate way in rural community peer group has changed,family and school,community hasn't formed the benign interaction relations,the orphan's appearance system affects the function of family,school and community.The analysis of orphan's problem laid the foundation of social casework in intervention Orphan interpersonal problems study's pertinence.The paper used Social Ecosystem Theory as perspective,basically solved the problem of orphan and improves the external environment to support the role of orphan by using the method of social casework to intervene the orphan's own system and its external environment.Specific research results show:seeing the effect from the orphan himself,first of all,he has enhanced the willingness to communicate.Whether at home or at school or at community,he has expressed the initiation to interact with others.Secondly,with the increasing confidence of orphan,he has known how to relax and master some basic interpersonal skills in the process of communication.He can effectively control his emotions what have happened in the past.His self-expression becomes clearer;the scope of communication has been restored and expanded.He is able to communicate with community residents and when faced with strangers,he is no longer afraid to retreat,relieving the scare of communication with people.Seeing the effect from the external environment of orphan,first of all,family thinks highly of and concerns about the interpersonal problems of orphan,active increasing communication frequency,parenting style is also more open and knowing how to help orphan expand the scope of interpersonal communication.Secondly,educator and students' evaluation of orphan is getting better after witness their progress in association and communicate with him more.Last but not least,community residents and orphan communication is gradually increasing,peer groups have more contact with him.On the interactive system,the interaction between family system and school system and community system are the most frequent;the orphan's change is more due to the efforts made by the family.Thus,the social casework is useful to improve the orphan's interpersonal communication.After that,we can see that orphan's willing of interpersonal communication has development;he can control his emotions between communication and he can introduce himself clearer,which improves external environment to promote the role of orphan at the same time.The interaction of orphan with family,school and community has been an important supporting system for the development of the relationship between orphan,expanding the scope of the orphan and improving the ability of orphan's interpersonal communication.
