With the Reform and opening-up policy,China's economy and society have been developed rapidly,a large number of rural surplus labor force has been flowing into urban areas.However,due to the difference between urban and rural systems in our country and the urban life pressure,many migrant workers have to leave their children behind.As a result,there are many left-behind children in China.Many left-behind children have shown problems like learning difficulties,poor behavior,low quality of interpersonal relationship and anxiety,which may stem from the weakening family function,poor quality of children-parent relationship,bad caring condition and unfavorable environment.If there is no powerful measure to help the left-behind children get out of the dilemma,the consequences will be unimaginable.Jiangxi is a province that has a large of labor exporting in China.Left-behind children take a considerable proportion of the children in the province.Recent years,the Jiangxi Civil Affairs Department has tried to strengthen the protection of left-behind children by the government to buy social work services.This paper is based on a minor protection at Donghu District of Nanchang,in which I contacted a left-behind child in a rural area and took her as a case study object.In this research I analyzed her dilemma from academic,parent-child relationship,mental conflict.During the intervention,I have discovered the client's advantage resources and helped her reach her potential,and cultivated good study habits based on the Strength Perspective theory.At the same time,this research has used Person-centered Therapy to release the client's mental conflict,depending on Attachment theory to alleviate the alienation with her father.From the conclusion and introspection on this case work,this paper also puts forward some suggestion.This paper illustrates that there are many factors leading to left-behind children's growth dilemma,such as individuals,family,school,community and society.According to this,we need to develop professional social work and strengthen the intervention of left-behind children in dilemma.In addition,Family,school and community should play a guaranteed role.Furthermore,government should make specific and effective protection laws and regulations.Through these ways,we can make sure left-behind children can get rid of growth dilemma and grow up healthily.
