Following rapid development of national economy and Chinese urbanization,More and more labor forces are moving into the city not only by themselves but with their families members,so,the number of off springs is yearly growing.However,moving to an new environment poses great challenge to the children who moved with their parents.Adapting and blending in the new community is a pressing issue to be addressed.This case is studying the children based on the “Happy Zone” program in Shenzhen X community service center,applying documentary method,field study to assess the needs from the children.Based on the analysis of relevant material,the author organized group activities-Le Rongrong in Shenzhen X community service center for the children.The whole activity has been recorded thoroughly as well as the ideas and the different behaviors presented after the activity.Four points,individual,friends,family,community,have been used in the group activity to analysis the effect of social work in the blending in process.Scientific and practical methods are expected from the study so that the children are willing to and capable of involving in the community.In general,the group work has proved effective in helping the children to embrace the new life,grow confidence,build trust in the surrounding environment,and communicate with neighbors.Although the contents and form of the group activity are well approved,more work need to be done to improve it.At last,according to the previous study and the result from the group activity,supported by social support theory,analyzed from various aspects,the author concluded that to help the children integrate into the new community needs joint effort from various parties.
