Research On The Problem Of College Students' Political Apathy

Nowadays,with the gradual deepening of our country's reform and opening up as well as rapid development of economic base,not only does it improve the quality of people's material life,but also can make people get satisfied in spiritual level and enjoy it.Education which seems as the source of spiritual demand has aroused more and more attention.Economic growth has accelerated the coming of information era.College students which are the subject of education have been more and less affected by multi-culture because campuses are full of diversified factors.Owing to the special period in which the values of college students need to be improved,it will be more easier to make them confused by negative information and leads some college students show indifference to politics.In political psychologicalterms,main presentations contain lower political attention,lacking interest in studying politicaltheories,and pragmatism and utilitarianism-tasted political participating concept.In political behavior terms,main presentations include lack of enthusiasm in participating in daily political affairs,conflictions in understanding political cognitions and behaviors,as well as paying more attention to online participation but few of effective rational participation.In order to solve the above problems,author made a series of deep analysis on the hot topic around college students' political participations to make clear behind cause and try to find feasible correction measures for exploring a way to politicaleducation adopting to college students of our country today.This paper is divided to four parts.The first part clarifies the related concept of college students' political apathy.It mainly discusses the disadvantages of college students' political apathy.For instance,it is not conducive to the development of democratic politics and the deepening of political reform,scientific and democratic decision-making of colleges and relevant government departments as well as the construction of harmonious campus.It also goes against actual effect of ideological and political education in colleges and the improvement of college students' political quality.The second part conducts a survey on the current situation of college students' political apathy through field investigation and questionnaire.And according to data statistics,viewed from political psychology and political behavior,it summed up the present situation of political apathy among college students today.The third part,in order to effectively solve political apathy problems therein,from the angles of traditional political culture,social environment,school education,college student and family group,it deeply explored root causes.Finally,with regard to these problems,in order to solve harmful effects brought by such phenomenon,from the following four aspects,namely society,school,family and individual,it proposed corresponding ideas,as well as put forward some feasible measures for dissolving the present situation of political apathy predicament in college students today.
