Research On The Promotion Of College Counselors' Professional Ability Under The New Media

The emergence of new media is not only promoting the progress of science and technology,but also changing the style of human life and the way of their thinking and values.College students,with strong curiosity and desire to explore,are an important part of the new media enthusiasts,and they get great convenience and fun by using the network media,mobile media that as the main representative of the new media.It is an important way for college students to obtain the knowledge and information for new media,and at the meanwhile it also makes college student birth their ideas and moral ethics,even effect the way of their thinking profoundly.With the growth influence of the new media's on college students,the counselors,as their life mentor and intimate friend,are facing new opportunities and challenges in their work as that they has realized the importance of the new media in the ideological and political work and the importance and urgency to promote their professional abilities.The professional ability of counselor is directly related to the effect of ideological and political education and talent development work.That how to adapt to the time environment and change the education work idea to promote self's professional abilities has become an important and continuous subject of higher education in the new era.This paper explained the connotation,composition,requirement,current situation,opportunities,challenges and the promoting ways of counselors' professional abilities by the means of literature review,comparative study,questionnaire survey and case interviews under the new media.The counselors' professional abilities under the new media refer to a series of comprehensive quality and ability that includes the necessary knowledge,skills and personality psychology,etc.,which involved in counselors in ideological and political education and other students' management affairs.Such as: network fit force,media application,consciousness judgment learning and innovation capacity,predicament disposal force and network EQ etc.According to the actual investigation,the college counselors' professional ability is basically competent for the students ideological and political education work currently and most of the counselors have made full use of the unique advantages of the new media to enrich the information resources and optimized the way s of their work.But there are still some problems in the ideological and political education of counselors' work with the rapid popularization of the new media.The main reasons are the lack of new media application,the subjective reasons of the instructors and the objective reasons of the information carrier.In this case,this paper will help to provide some methods to broaden the the network platform,enhancing the counselors ' own media literacy,upgrading of counselors work system and the making a linkage training of network legal thinking for college students and so on.
