This article mainly adopts the method of empirical research,surveys the counselors in the independent college of Ningxia,and discusses the status quo,problems and suggestions for improving the professional ability of the counselors in the independent college.Based on the theoretical foundations of psychology,pedagogy and management,from the three aspects of counselor's professional ability development,professional ability building and competence,job satisfaction,professional development willingness,professional ability level self-evaluation,professional knowledge ability,problem handling The nine dimensions of ability,research ability,work ability,leadership ability,and self-management ability were analyzed.The results of the questionnaire survey were used to summarize the status,problems,and causes of the counselor's professional ability.At the same time,countermeasures to improve professional ability were proposed.Through the research above,the conclusions are as follows: First,the questionnaire data reflects that the current situation of the counselor's professional ability development,professional ability building and competence is at a relatively low level,and the professional ability level still needs to be further improved;Second,on the basis of a large number of questionnaire data support and theoretical foundation analysis,the problems of the professional ability of the independent college counselors are summarized,such as the lack of independent college training mechanism and the lack of promotion and elimination mechanism of independent college.The reasons for the above problems are analyzed in the following four aspects: the ambiguity of the counselor's own role,the value conflict of the counselor's high expectations,the stress of the counselor's work,and the uncertainty of the counselor's career;Countermeasures and suggestions,such as strengthening the counselor's organizational management ability,professional ability training,scientifically and rationally establishing the counselor promotion and elimination system,the counselor's scientific and reasonable self-positioning,the counselor's reasonable positioning of expected values,and the counselor's attention to his own moral quality and physical and mental Health promotion,counselor's note Their research capacity and enhance self-development capacity.
