Foreign literature has become an important part in Chinese textbooks,teaching it to inject fresh blood,to open another cultural landscape,and broaden students’ horizons,increase their knowledge,broaden their knowledge and improve students’ humanistic quality,perfect the students’ personality play an important role.In China,the front-line teachers have analyzed the current situation of the teaching of foreign literature works from various angles,and put forward many valuable solutions.However,unfortunately,the application value of the foreign literary works which have been included in the teaching materials has not come into play.The questions of as for teachers how to teach and for students how to learn,all of these have a certain impact on the quality of teaching;So,the teachers’ teaching methods about foreign literature works can make students feel unique charm of foreign literature;How can students understand the humanistic spirit through learning foreign literary works;what kind of works are should be selected in accordance with the students’ physical and mental development.All these problems are urgent.In this paper,according to the problems existing in the teaching of foreign literature works in local junior high school,the author puts forward some measures and suggestions to solve the above problems.This paper is divided into three chapters to elaborate.The first chapter is the introduction,including the background,significance and purpose of the topic,research ideas and methods,research status.The second chapter is about the problems in the teaching of foreign literature works in junior middle school.The author makes a summary from some aspects as followed: the questions of the teachers and the students in teaching and learning the foreign literary works,less in quantity,environment,and other utilitarian learning purposes.The third chapter puts forward the corresponding countermeasures for the problems of the second chapter.The teachers should change their ideas and teaching methods,improve their knowledge of foreign literature and pay attention to the cultivation of humanistic spirit.Students should improve their reading interest,change their learning attitudes,enlarge their learning ways and improve their cognition.Textbooks of foreign literary selections should be "rich" in quantity,"optimal" in quality of works,"systematic" in content.In this paper,the author puts forward some feasible ideas and suggestions to improve present teaching situation of foreign literature from the aspects of teachers and students and teaching materials.It is helpful to enhance the attention to the foreign literature and improve the comprehensive quality of the students.Besides,it also has certain feasibility in practice.
