In contemporary junior high school Chinese teaching,the current teaching situation of foreign literary works is not optimistic.Foreign literary works have not played their due teaching value.With the further reduction of the number of texts in the textbooks compiled by the Ministry,the current situation of teaching foreign literary works has fallen into a more embarrassing situation.How to play the educational value of foreign literary works has become one of the important problems in Chinese education in secondary schools.This paper takes the teaching of Chinese and foreign literary works in the Ministry-compiled junior high school Chinese textbooks as the research object,makes a comparative analysis of the selection of foreign literary works in the Ministry-compiled textbooks,and studies the problems existing in the teaching of foreign literary works by means of questionnaires and other methods.Finally,it attempts to summarize the effective strategies of the teaching of foreign literary works.The thesis is divided into three chapters.The first chapter is about the selection of foreign literary works and the selection principles of foreign literary works in junior high school Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry.In this chapter,by comparing the selected texts of Chinese and foreign literature in the two editions of the People's Education Edition and the Ministry Edited Edition,the author analyzes the editing characteristics of the foreign literature works in the Ministry Edited Edition: in terms of quantity,the overall decrease;In genre,novels and expository texts predominate,while poetry decreases and dramas and fairy tales decline.The theme of the works is rich and the number of articles on the same theme is reduced.Author's occupation distribution is single,mostly writer;The author's country is mostly concentrated in developed countries such as the United States and France.The principle of selecting foreign literary works for the Ministry-compiled junior high school Chinese textbooks is embodied in two aspects,according to the new curriculum standards and focusing on the core qualities ofThe second chapter is the present situation and causes of the teaching of foreign literary works in junior high school Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry.The present situation of teaching foreign literary works in junior high schools was investigated by using teacher questionnaires and student questionnaires.Foreign literary works are not valued by both teachers and students in actual teaching,and show a weak position in teaching.The author has analyzed the causes of this situation.Foreign literary works have not given full play to their educational role due to the lack of teachers' professional quality,negative thinking attitude,insufficient teaching research,weak students' interest in learning,and weak literary quality,as well as the influence of teaching mode and examination-oriented education.The third chapter explores the teaching strategies of foreign literary works in junior high schools compiled by the Ministry.According to the current teaching situation and causes of the second chapter,the corresponding feasible strategies are put forward from three aspects:teachers,students and teaching.As a teacher,they should change their teaching ideas and improve their literary attainments.Taking an active part in teaching research and changing learning concepts are important,too.As a student,build up literary foundation,cultivate interest in learning.In teaching,teachers must foster students' interest change teaching methods,increase examination efforts.
