The case-based teaching is an interactive and open teaching method. It has changed the textbook-based and concept-to-concept infusing teaching method in traditional teaching into the mode of turning learners into the learning subjects. Adopting case-based teaching in the teaching of history course in senior high school can not only improve students' interest of learning history, but also efficiently promote the growth of their historical thinking and improve their abilities to find problems and solve problems. Also, the case-based teaching can enhance teachers' quality, teaching level and teaching quality.This thesis firstly introduces the relative theoretical concepts of case-based teaching. Then, taking topic six Roosevelt's New Deal of the required history book II of People's Education Press as the example, this thesis discusses the application of case-based teaching in the teaching of history course in senior high school from aspects of preparation before class, class operation and teaching assessment. Also, it analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of case-based teaching in senior high school teaching theoretically and practically. At last, by applying the case-based teaching in the course of Roosevelt's New Deal, the author summarizes the thinking and suggestions on adopting case-based teaching in history teaching of senior high school.
