With the development of the basic education reform and the application of the new curriculum standard for senior high school,the guided learning plan teaching model which aims to stimulate students' interest in learning and improve students' autonomous learning ability has gradually attracted more and more attention.And this teaching model requires teachers to guide students to make full preparations before class,to study together in class and review autonomously after class by means of the guided learning plan.Many schools in our country have introduced guided learning plan teaching model and applied it to the English Teaching.However,the empirical researches on it are not enough.Therefore,this paper which takes Tieling senior high school as an example has certain practical significance and theoretical significance.To investigate the application of the English guided learning plan teaching model in Tieling senior high school,literature analysis,classroom observation,questionnaire and interview methods are used in this paper.Moreover,by analyzing and comparing the data from survey,this paper summarizes that the teaching model of guided learning plan has positive infects on students' participation,autonomous learning ability,learning interest on English as well as their academic records.At the same time,there still exists the deficiencies,such as the compilation of the English guided learning plan,the using of the English guided learning plan by teachers and the using of it by students in practical application.These problems stem from that there is not enough discrimination in the compilation,and the sole layout setting of the guided learning plan.Teachers don't pay much attention to the feedback of the English guided learning plan teaching model and the unsuitable discussion distribution among the students.In addition,some of the students can't keep long-term attention when using it because of the dependence of the English guided learning plan.In this connection,this paper puts forward the corresponding measures to solve the problems from three aspects: school leadership,teachers and students.Firstly,school leaders should pay more attention and encourage the implementation of English guided learning plan teaching model.Secondly,teachers should strengthen the communication with the students.Thirdly,students should cooperate with the teachers actively anduse the guided learning plan reasonably.Hope that this study will have some enlightenment and reference for the improvement of English teaching.
