With the development of the new curriculum reform,the guided learning plans are very popular among different kinds of schools in China in recent decades.This teaching model has many advantages.It can not only help students to preview efficiently,but also help teachers not to have cramming education.Besides,it can promote students’ autonomous learning ability.It is very common to use the guided learning plans in English courses in senior high school.However,Du Langkou Middle School declared not to use the guided learning plans any more,which is a shock to all of us.Thus,we have to consider the following questions.Why did Du Langkou Middle School decide not to use the guided learning plans? Faced with the disadvantages of the guided learning plans,can we find some proper solutions to solve these problems? And what is the tendency toward the guided learning plans? Wuhe Senior High School,where the writer had taught for one year,brought in the teaching mode based on the guided learning plans ten years ago and benefits a lot from it.However,according to the writer’s personal teaching experience,this pedagogical mode exhibits both advantages and disadvantages.It has four disadvantages.Firstly,this teaching mode uses paper as medium.So it will decrease the information.Secondly,it’s bad for stratified teaching as the whole students use the same paper.Thirdly,the paper is written by teachers,thus it will limit students’ thinking.The last one,students are not interested in it.Based on the investigation,the writer presents a new idea.That is to combine the traditional guided learning plan of reading with PPT,and to unite the traditional guided learning plan of grammar with micro video.This thesis uses the Middle School Attached to Huaibei Normal University as an example,hoping to prove the improved guided leaching plan can remedy the disadvantages of the former plan as well as promote its further development.The present thesis adopts the methods of reference documents,questionnaire,interview,observation and two tests.After specific analysis of the statistics,the author wants to show it is possible to use the improved guided learning plans.The thesis is made up of six chapters.The introduction analyzes the current research situation,the research tendency and the significance of selecting this topic.This part also describes the research methods,purposes and the main contents of this thesis.Chapter 2 contains two parts.They are theoretical principles and the relevant study.Firstly it introduces self-regulated learning theory and autonomous classroom theory which the thesis is based on.And then it sums up the relevant study on guided learning plan which is carried out by the researches at home and abroad.Chapter 3 states the four difficulties in the guided learning plan.Chapter 4 is about the design and the procedures of the research.Chapter 5 shows the analysis of the statistics through histogram and pie chart.Chapter 6 presents the experimental results,the limitation of the research,and lists a series of suggestions on future studies.
