With the development of the times, information technology has been extended from the living field of ours to the teaching domain. Its widely application has now become a symbol of the temporary society. Mathematics is a highly logical subject.We,as teachers,should not only cultivate a kind of rigorous teaching attitude,constantly enrich our own professional knowledge, expand the scope of specialty field,but also stimulate their interests for studying and arouse the enthusiasm of the classroom learning. This kind of teacher-oriented and student-centered teaching methodology is now increasingly attracting the attention of the society from all walks of life. However, the traditional teaching methods is still very difficult to meet up to the challenge of the times, and how to make the computer become an effective tool for teaching and learning the level of junior high school mathematics has become a concern and a problem that needed to be researched by the vast majority of the teachers. Geometric sketchpad software, as a kind of commonly used mathematics teaching, plays an important role in mathematics teaching owing to its powerful calculation function, drawing function, demonstration, etc.Geometric sketchpad as a commonly used software, has been shown to have important functions of calculation, plotting, demonstration in mathematic teaching.Through the Geometer's Sketchpad in the junior middle school mathematics teaching in the use of geometry: The situation and status of domestic and foreign research summary of geometric sketchpad; Introduce the theoretical basis, Such as:audio-visual teaching theory, constructivism learning theory, cooperative learning;The effect of this application will be analyzed and judged by the testing-paper, student questionnaire, teacher interview, and the class- teaching effect. The results of previous studies show that the geometer's sketchpad can make concrete the abstract geometry,stimulates the student to study the interest and enthusiasm, so as to improve the students' learning achievement and classroom efficiency.
