Primary and secondary school music education is the fundamental music education for all students in primary and secondary schools,and instrumental music education is an important part of the music education.Without instrumental music education,the music education in primary and secondary schools is not complete.Instrumental music education plays an important role in the students’ development of intelligence,physical coordination,aesthetic ability,creativity and so on.It has been 60 years since the foundation of the PRC.Even though the previous The Music Course Standards in Compulsory Education basically has clear requirements and contents about instrument teaching,the teaching and learning on instruments basically has been ruled out of the curriculum in the practice of music education in primary and secondary schools.The reason for this problem includes the society,the government,the family,the school as well as the student.The new reform in curriculum has paid greater attention to people’s all-round and lifelong development.The Music Course Standards in Compulsory Education(2011 Edition)also lays emphasis on instrument education in primary school and has clear guidance and regulations on what kind of instrument should be used in primary school music courses and what are teaching aims and tasks the in different students’ learning stages.In a lot of instruments,the Eight-Holes Clarinet Recorder which deters from Europe has been widely used in primary and secondary schools by a lot of developed and developing countries.In The Music Course Standards in Compulsory Education(2011 Edition)has also taken recorders as a kind of compulsory teaching instrument in primary school.In this paper,I hope to analyze and tease out the history and ideas of the development in instrument education in western developed countries including the USA and European countries,combining with the analysis of gains and losses in instrument education in China after the foundation of the PRC,and extract some valuable experience for our country to refer.In addition,in order to find the problem primary school instrument teaching,I take the recorder as a case,by my teaching practice and investigation of students in Jiang Zhuang Street Primary School,Xinxiang,combining with the role and significance of the instrument in the classroom teaching and extracurricular practice,and give some ways to deal with these problems for later reference.This essay includes 5 parts: the introduction,the comparative study between domestic and foreign primary schools in music education,the teaching methods of recorder and its application in primary schools,the survey in the Jiang Zhuang Street Primary School in Xinxiang and the conclusion. |
