Case Study On Cultivation Of New-type Professional Farmers Of Taicang City

With the construction and development of new socialist countryside and the advancement of urban and rural integration, the urbanization level of our country also gets further improvement. Since the 16th national congress, the urbanization rate of our country grew gradually. The latest statistics show that at present, the urbanization rate of China is 54.77%on average. Urbanization is an inevitable process of modernization and is also an important symbol of modern civilization in our country. However, it also brings some problems. Firstly, the quantity of rural labor force has reduced seriously. Secondly, the structure of rural labor force was out of balance. Lastly, the quality of rural labor force is of particular concern. The Central Document NO.1 in 2012 for the first time put forward to cultivate new-type professional farmers, comprehensive rural talents team, focus on solving the problem of "who to farming" in the future. It opened the prelude of cultivating of new-type professional farmers.Taicang is a country level city which under the jurisdiction of Suzhou city, Jiangsu province. Its urbanization rate is 65.34%, which is far beyond the average level of our country. The development of its industrialization and modernization is also very fast. The economic level of Taicang is the fourth of the top 100 countries. Its economic development drives the development of modern agriculture. In recent years, its modern agriculture developed very fast, but also faces the problem of shortage of agriculture labor force. Taicang started to cultivate new-type professional farmer in 2012, and originate the "directional training pattern", which has obtained some achievements. The experience of Taicang has certain reference value to our country in cultivating new-type professional farmer. Analyzing the problems occurring in the process of Taicang"s work plays a warning role for our country.With Taicang as a case, this paper investigates the cultivation work of new-type professional farmer of Taicang by using the method of investigation and documentary study. This paper discusses the reason why Taicang cultivate new-type professional farmer and its concrete practice; induct the effect and mechanism of its cultivation work. At the same time, the paper analysis the causes of the problems occurs during the process, and then, gives some corresponding suggestions with the hope to provide some referential enlightens for our country. This paper includes five parts; the first part is the introduction, which includes research background, purpose, researches from home and broad, research methods and technical route, definition and theoretical basis. The second part mainly discusses the economic background of Taicang’s cultivation work. The third part mainly talks about the current situation of the cultivation work of Taicang. The fourth part analyzes the problems and causes of these problems. The fifth part gives some suggestion to solve these problems.
