On the issue of poverty, has been considered to be brought about serious social problems of instability to the society. This paper focuses on the research of the city poverty population in rural families. Because of the special family background, the children in poor families, not only to face the lack of material life, and they will have the psychological inferiority, sensitive, fragile psychological characteristics and problems of closed, low self-esteem and lack of confidence. Solution strategies of our government to the children of poor families education problems mainly focus on relief. But for rural families of children with mental health concerns are relatively less.In this study, the strengths perspective theory as the starting point, the use of the talks, visits and other professional working methods, intervention in rural families of children, explore their own advantages, enhance their self-confidence. The strengths perspective view case itself has advantages, potential, resources, and even have not yet found the gifts and talents, have been the case main body and cover the problem, it is difficult for them to use their own advantages. It is very important how to help clients find their advantages. The author selects Wuhan City, a community of poor families in children W and H as the research object, to carry out the service of the case for a period of three months. When the main idea to determine the case, the author should assist the case choice to start direction, into long-term and short-term goals, and planning scheme, so as to enhance the client's confidence.This research mainly adopts the method of literature research and field research method. The thesis includes six parts:the first part is the introduction, including the background, significance, concept definition and literature review. The second part is the research on the theory, including the theory of social system, social support theory and theory. Third part is the research plan, including the research process and research methods, case selection object. The fourth part is the case intervention process. The fifth part is the intervention process case two. The sixth part is the conclusion, including the summary of experience and reflection in the process of case intervention.
