| The family planning policy has been strictly implemented in China for nearly 35 years, and it has indeed played a positive role, effectively controlling the population and developing the social economy, but it has also indirectly contributed to the emergence of a large number of families without independence.Loss of independence is a major traumatic event in life, and once a child dies unexpectedly, the family will face multiple difficulties. The government has introduced relevant policies to make up for the loss of independent families, but most of them provide material and economic assistance, and do not pay attention to the spiritual status of this group, which will not only bring psychological trauma to family members, affect the quality of life, but also may become a social problem and affect the stability and harmony of society. This paper takes the "Sunshine Companionship,Walking with Love" project in T City as an example to study the spiritual plight of this group, and uses professional social work methods and advantageous perspectives to carry out casework intervention,in order to respond to their spiritual needs and provide effective spiritual comfort. The research in this paper is mainly divided into two parts.First of all,the author participated in the "Sunshine Companionship,Walk with Love" project of T City, and conducted a survey on the mental plight of 8 families without independence in X community, and the results showed that the grief of this group lasted for a long time, although many years have passed since the loss of independence, they still cannot get out of the dilemma of emotional sadness and pain, increased self-isolation consciousness and lack of spiritual support, and have urgent needs in emotional counseling, emotional sustenance and realization of self-worth.Secondly,the author selected a family with prominent spiritual needs and willing to involve social workers from this group as the research object, and after estimating the problems and advantages, determined the overall goals and sub-goals,and formulated the intervention plan. This intervention is divided into three stages, one is to establish the stage of dominant cognition, which mainly helps the client vent his bad emotions, face up to the fact of loss of independence, and establish a continuous emotional connection with the child to enhance the client’s confidence; The second is the advantageous intervention stage, which intervenes from the family’s advantages and community advantages, eases the relationship between husband and wife, returns daughters-in-law and granddaughters to the family, and improves the support network; The third is the stage of realizing self-worth,first guiding the client to re-pick up the previous hobbies, and then encouraging the client to join the orphan group and participate in community activities, develop better emotions in his heart, and be willing to face life positively. After the end of this service, the author evaluated the process and outcome of the case, and the results showed that using the advantage perspective to intervene in the spiritual comfort of the orphaned family has its own unique advantages, which can help the client discover his own environmental advantages, strengthen the positive cognition of the orphaned family, stimulate the inner potential, and get out of the spiritual dilemma. At the same time, the author also has some shortcomings in the practical process, including the lack of application of influencing skills in intervention skills, and the pre-intervention stage, which may affect the service effect due to language barriers. |
