Research On Cultivation Of Chinese Citizen’s Political Ability In The Process Of Political Socialization

In the new period of building socialist harmonious society with Chinese characteristics,the construction of political civilization and spiritual civilization is going hand in hand.As the carrier of culture and civilization,citizens whose capacity level substantially determines the degree of development of forementioned construction play a direct role in modern democracy.In the Eighteenth National Congress of the CPC,a series of new requirements such as the continuous expansion of people’s democracy and the obvious improvement of civic civilization quality and social civilization level were proposed,therefore,to nurture the citizen ability is a very important foundational engineering.Due to the problem of citizen ability which is affected by variety factors and many subjects,this paper will make a research by using the methods of historical analysis,literature research and qualitative analysis from the perspective of political science.This thesis consists of four parts,the first part explains the purpose,significance,research methods,and analyzes the main research situation at home and abroad,on the whole,foreign research is localized and interdisciplinary,while there is no special research or systematic discuss on this field at home;the second part is to clarify the concept,and research the relationship between the two concepts,as the same category,citizen ability and political socialization are different and closely,this paper analyses the dialectic relationship between the two on the basis to clarify their respective concepts,which paves the way for fostering citizen’s political ability research in the process of political socialization;the third part discusses the development process and the stage characteristics of Chinese citizen’s political ability cultivation by tracing the course of political socialization,then evaluates the basic situation of our country citizen’s political ability at the present stage,after decades of social development,the status of Chinese citizen’s political ability shows some positive changes,but there are still a lot of negative phenomena,the overall level is still relatively weak,also in view of the existing problems with citizens whose political awareness and political efficacy sense is relatively low,andthe non institutionalized political participation is increased,this paper analyses the cause of multiple restrictive factors of fostering citizen’s political ability;the fourth part discusses the cultivation of our citizen’s political ability from the aspects of basic measures and specific paths in combination with the above constraints and the process of political socialization.
