Facility Planning For Family Care Of The Elderly In Hangzhou Under The Context Of An Aging Population

The twenty-first century sees a movement towards an aging population on a global scale. The traditional approach, family care of the elderly, finds itself struggling to cope with the growing needs of the elderly for comfort and solace, medical care, and emergency relief. Nursing homes, on the other hand, have yet to be accepted by the elderly. The care for the elderly is lagging behind the living standards of today's society. To develop a coherent and distinctive elderly care strategy, Hangzhou needs to understand the city's the strengths and weaknesses, and scientifically allocate its resources on facility planning for elderly care.This article studies the effectiveness of promoting family care of the elderly and the progress of implementing elderly care facility plans in Hangzhou.
