A Report On The Simulated Interpretation Of The Opening Ceremony Speech At The BRICS Business Forum 2017 By President Xi Jinping

The BRICS Business Forum is an important business event of BRICS Summit.Nowadays,China's national power is strong and the exchange with other countries is increasing,which sets higher request to the interpreters.This thesis is a simultaneous interpretation report of president Xi Jinping's speech at the BRICS Business Forum 2017.It takes 74 minutes to finish this simultaneous interpretation practice.Basing on interpretive theory,the author makes analysis on her interpreting process and divides case analysis into two aspects featuring the text and interpreting skills.Chinese characteristic words are the main objects on textural analysis.Interpreting skills include anticipating and syntactic linearity.Then,the author analyzes questions and points out appropriate solutions.Finally,she gives some suggestions about how to be a more successful interpreter.After this practice,the author has a better understanding of the interpretive theory,and hopes the problems analyzed in this report can lay foundations for beginners to do their practice.
