Translations play an important role in cross-cultural communication.However,publishing translations are facing great challenges,due to the facts that publishers only pursue economic growth,that translators get little attention and that readers' needs cannot be satisfied.This report selects Chapters 6-7 from the book The Three Percent Problem: Rants and Response on Publishing,Translating,and the Future of Reading as its translation material.The book contains some essays by different authors on publishing,translating and the future of the reading,analyzing readers' real needs and reading trends.Under the guidance of Nord's theory,this report aims to analyze the impact of external and internal factors of the text on translating as well as corresponding translation strategies and methods through case analysis.It is excepted that this report can offer certain help for publishers and readers as well as translators.
