A Study On Translation Strategies Of Marine English Into Chinese

In recent years,the upgradation of national marine strategy calls for larger demand for shipping information,as a result,the demand for translation of marine English into Chinese is becoming more urgently challenging.However,marine English features large amount of terminology and long sentence with complex structure,which cause many difficulties to translation resulting in frequent occurrence of mistranslation.Consequently,we need imminently explore the effective strategies to guide the translation of marine English into Chinese to promote the development of shipping industry.First,the thesis summarizes the characteristics of marine English on the aspects of vocabulary and grammar.Then,based on these characteristics,the thesis analyzes the translation strategies of marine English into Chinese combining with examples,summarizing various methods of translation of marine English into Chinese on the aspects of vocabulary and grammar.Finally,the thesis does further analysis on the basis of the translation strategies concluded above and puts forward some guiding suggestion for current translation strategies of marine English into Chinese.
