Deliveryand Tactics In Q And A Consecutive Interpretig

In interpreting practice,the author found that the Q & A session has always been the most challenging part.Q & A mainly has the following characteristics: multiple participants,improvisational content,debating language and the requirement of timely and accurate interpreting.In the case of an open forum discussion on “Connectivity—The New Trend that Shorten Distance” at the APEC CEO Summit,the interpreter appeared to have unclear logic,incoherent information and redundant expression,as well as issues such as pause,omission and inappropriate register.Based on literature reading,the author summarizes the coping strategies for the above problems from the perspectives of listening analysis and preparation,in the hope that this case study can be used as a reference for improving the quality and efficiency of interpretation.
