The Analysis On The Importance Of Preparation For Interpreting Practices

This report,based on the author's practices to work as an interpreter in medical lectures,compares the performances in two different lectures.By comparison,the author found out that preparation plays a significant role in interpreting.As discussed in this report,less-preparation will cause increasing errors in terminology interpreting,lacking confidence and less ability to process the source language.The quality will be highly influenced.Therefore,the author was forced to use several tactics,namely,body languages,supplements,search after-lecture and omissions,to overcome those challenges which can be avoided by preparation.This report consists of four parts.The first part is a brief introduction about the task.Second,what preparation has the author done before each lecture.Third,what coping tactics has the author used in the less-prepared lecture and by comparing the wo lectures,why preparation is necessary in interpreting practices.last,conclusion.
