With the deepening of reform and opening up,there are more contacts and connections among China and the world.China is more impacted by the changeable and varied international situation."Brexit",seen by many as a big and historic event in 2016,has shocked the world,probably leaving significant impacts on the global politics,economy,culture,science and technology and much else.Lots of news about"Brexit"from domestic and foreign media is diffused and rife with various opinions.People around the world,including Chinese,are highly concerned about "Brexit" and eager to learn more about it from the international community.However,most of the Chinese translations rendered from English versions are of poor readability for Chinese readers.Under this circumstance,the study of E-C translation of news is of great importance.And the source texts of this translation project report are news about "Brexit" mainly selected from foreign mainstream media,such as The Economist,the Guardian,The New York Times,New York Post,Daily Mirror,The Daily Telegraph,CNBC covering a wide range of issues about influence caused by "Brexit”on banking,retailing,tourism and other financial sectors as well as on the ecological environment.In addition,these source texts vary in views towards "Brexit" and have different styles of language.This report is mainly focused on the analysis of difficulties that the author encountered during the practice of translation at the level of words,sentence,text and style and offer relative methods to solve these problems.The author aims to present solutions applied in this report in favor of the improvement of E-C news translation in China.
