| The main task of this translation project is to translate project news on the Chinese websiteof Yunnan Junfa Real Estate Co., Ltd. into English, so as to build up the English website of thecompany and promote its external publicity image, hence making it more competitive and“internationalizing” the enterprise. The main content of project news to be translated includesrelative reports of real estate projects and public welfare projects of Yunnan Junfa Real EstateCo., Ltd..News translation is not only a kind of information transmission, but also a part of publicityto the outside. In the process of translation, the quality of target language texts is determined bythe translation strategy and translation methods which the translator follows and adopts in a largedegree. Based on the author’s news translation practice of project news of Yunnan Junfa RealEstate Co., Ltd., this thesis approaches and analyzes the translation strategy and translationmethods and their feasibility through plenty of news translation examples. The author proposesthat in news translation, the translator could follow “Faithfulness”,“Expressiveness” and“Gracefulness” as translation criteria and adopt proper translation methods, combining withfeatures of news translation. By doing that, the quality of target language texts can be improved,which could result in a better publicity effect and help improve the international competitivestrength of enterprises of Yunnan Province.This translation report consists of four chapters, namely, Description of Translation Project,Description of Translation Process, Analysis of Translation Methods and Summary ofTranslation Practice. |
