At the beginning of the new millennium,the Chinese films were not recognized and concerned by the market.It lacked policy guidance and were confused in creating the genre films.At this time,the film market which was led by the hot films,and the film audience who were driven by globalization,gradually approbated Chinese film.Chinese films gradually formed a film situation which included Comedy Film,the Phenomenon Movie,the China Genie Film and other genre films.Starting with the "Hero" which was directed by the director Zhang Yimou,We opened our times of the hot films.At the same time,the European and American film market which has always led the trend of film,has produced the Magic Fantasy Film,which is connected with the western cultural connotation.In the study of imitation,the China Genie Film made the “Promise”which was directed by Chen Kaige as the beginning.It continued the tradition of the early Chinese Martial Arts Film and Hong Kong Ghost Movie,and explored the narrative method of our own Genie Film on the basis of our culture.In this period,the Chinese Martial Arts Film get the film market and the film audience by creating wonders and showing the unique charm of the subculture.The China Genie Film,such as “Monster Hunt”“Mermaid”,has come to the top of the Chinese movie box office.It shows the business value through the huge film box office income.And now,in order to develop and evolve,the China Genie Film still continue to produce fusion with the various movie elements.The China's early Martial Arts movie“Fire The Honglian Temple”made itself be very popular with the audience by showing the man who is different,with the martial arts high strength and powerful spells.At that time,the cinematic spectacle showed the importance of its China Genie Film elements.And then,the first batch of genies--theunique cultural elements of our country--converted to the cinematic spectacle in the film,such as the film“The Cave of the Silken Web”made the genie called spider who come from the book “Journey to the West”.After the development of Hong Kong Ghost Movie,it had more zombies,female ghost and genie as its cinematic spectacle.Into the new millennium of the China Genie Film development process,it more and more frequently involved in building the image of genie with the beginning of “Painted Skin”.In ancient times,the genie is the ideal understanding of the natural phenomenon from human.It is considered to be the "phenomenon" which beyond the common sense.And then,after the ghost literature and natural romantic imagination.The genie finally realized the concrete.And now the image of the China Genie Film's genie is no longer the human ideal understanding of the world which because of the lack of the right view to the world.It becomes the object of human collective unconscious and desire to cast.They are also a variety of social fear of the deep refraction.We can see that the natural and social integration are mixed,human and animal contradictions are struggling,from their body.The female genie who come to two extreme,the witch or the fairy,the male demon who has the high strength,the strange monster,they constitute the multi-level genie world in the film.The genie comes from the creator of film,who is thinking about human reality,human culture,human fate and many other issues.The genie is the image which not exists in the real life.The reason why it can attract the audience to watch,the reason why it becomes to the present image,are the object of this paper to study.In this paper,I make the genie image of the China Genie Film in the new millennium as the object of study.I explain the study from three parts.In the first chapter,this paper sorts out the historical development of China Genie movie and figures out the definition of genie culture and genies.It can help us to determine the scope and content of the research.In the second chapter,we sort the genie image of the China Genie movie in the new millennium.The genie is divided into human genies and non-human genies to explore its image characteristics.In the third chapter,we start from the origins of the generated images of genies with the starting point of the study about the our cultural heritage,a global vision of the cultural fusion.At the same time we explain the aesthetic meaning of the genie from the perspective of spectacle aesthetics.
