At the beginning of the20th century the rise of Chinese mythology research makethe Shanhaiching status greatly improved, the content about lots of genie become thecornerstone of Chinese mythology research. But only through its words describe it’sdifficult to imagine the bizarre world of the genie. Fortunately, the emergence of Hanstone provides us with very valuable information. This has enabled us to to trace thegenie’s image and the world of myth in Shanhaiching.Through a comparative study of the genie such as the queen, nuwa,sun and moon,the nine-tailed fox, three-legged crows, dragon and phoenix, tigers, bears, cows, sheep,deer and enlightened beast respectively in Shanhaiching and Han stone, This thesis triesto find the rheological structure of the image, and analyses the reason of its change. Fromthe change, the heritage of primitive religion such as natural worship, totem worship,wrath and witchcraft, the general knowledge, thoughts and beliefs that always dominatethe thought and lives of the people from the pre-Qin to Han, and the Chu culture thatgreatly affect Han culture to make some prominent characteristics of the genie inShanhaiching come down. And great change of the pre-Qin to the Han society directlydrives the formation and development of the concept such as immortal belief, auspiciousthought, humanistic thought, the ideas of Yin and Yang formed, so that the genie’s imagein Han stone has been changed.
